Jade's half birthday!

Jade is now six months old! She has been so much fun and she's just becoming more fun (I was going to say funner, but that's not a word). To celebrate we went to Doc's pizza buffet and then over to Brian and Melissa's for cupcakes and to play Mario Party. We gave Jade a little taste of the cupcake frosting and she licked all she could off of her lips.
Also in other news: Dan and I payed off our credit card!! Yay! I know Dan wanted to invest the money instead but I'm super excited.

Jade has discovered her feet. She loves playing with them now, it's pretty funny. She's very flexible. She usually only does this trick when she doesn't have any pants on though.

So Dan and I finally got a chance to go snowboarding together this season. It was a gorgeous day up Provo canyon. The sun was shining and I heard rumors that it was 66 degrees! It felt great! Dan even got a goggle tan. Grandma Lou came and watched Jade for us. We had a great time; our friend Brian came with us. He and Dan were quite a bit faster than me so I snowboarded solo (no, they didn't ditch me, it was fine). I took a pretty good tumble when we first started out but all in all I was pretty surprised at how quickly I remembered what I was doing. Too bad there are probably not too many days left in the season. Spring's right around the corner folks.

Jade and I just got home from a week long vacation in Arizona. We had a blast! Just lounging around hanging out with my dad and step-mom. This is my uncle Chuckie, he came up from Tucson to meet Jade.

We had such a good time and it wasn't too bad flying on my own with Jade. Granted my dad helped me out at the airport but she did really well on the flight, even if the kid sitting next to me thought she was a boy. Oh well. She was dressed in green, but it did have flowers and butterflies on it. Thanks Dad and Mary for an awesome time!

Dan's Birthday!!

Dan turned 28 on January 27th and I never posted pics. So I'm playing catch up here. We had Brian and Lindsey and Coleson over, our neighbors came and so did Michael and his girlfriend, Jess. Sadly, that is the night that President Hinckley died. I made a cheesecake and it turned out pretty good despite the burnt outer edge. Happy Birthday Dan!

My Tia Darlene brought this beautiful doll back for Jade from her trip to Puerto Vallart. Isn't it neat? It reminded me of a doll my dad got me when I was a baby that he brought back from a trip to Peru. Thank you Tia.

Well friends and family, it was Dan's birthday on Sunday the big 2-8!! (It's sort of funny, I always say 'the big' in front of everyones birthdays now.) Anyway, we had a blast! Dan made ribs and pulled pork sandwiches. I made my first cheesecake but it burned. Only on the sides though. I can't find the camera to post pics from last night's bash so i'll have to do it later. Adios everyone.

What a week

So first of all Dan got a new job! He's working for the specialty hospital in provo. It's near the Riverwoods Mall. So yay for more steady work.

In other news, I saw this couple at Harmons and they had on these ridiculous matching fur coats.

Also this week was Jade's 4 month birthday! She's so adorable if I do say so myself. Here are a few pics from that day.

Hey everyone! We have had a fun week. Last night we went to the Fromms and had dumplings and potstickers. We also played Mario Party on the Wii. Last week we visited Brian and Melissa and had a delicious dinner with them. Fajitas and cream of crab soup. It was delicious.

Baby Jade is doing so good. She rolled over this week and as you can see from the video we posted she also started laughing, however, we haven't gotten her to laugh since. :( She had to have a couple shots this past week, she was not happy about it! She was very surprised, she didn't see it coming. She's such a little chatterbox. We love it.

Another exciting week!

Dan and I have had so much time to hang out this week, it's been really fun. We went to the Fromm's for New Years Eve and watched Footloose and made cookies. What a good time. This week we also got to hang out with Dannis and Heidi and Grant. We went to dinner at our favorite mexican place, Los Hermanos! Yum. I had the chimichanga, it was delicioso. Then we all drove to Midway, Utah and stayed the night there with them, we played games until the early morning. Other than that, not much new going on. Jade is getting bigger all the time and is just generally a happy baby. We hope you all had a happy new year and wish you the best in 2008.

Family Get together!

Well my family decided to start having a "familiy reunion" so this was our first one! It was lots of fun, we stayed in Salt Lake at one of the hotels there, we hung out and played games together and had such a good time! We all went to dinner at Buca Di Beppo and they suprised me with a cake for my birthday (even though the waitress sort of ruined the suprise by saying "my boss told me you guys brought your own cake", oh well, it was so fun). We also went ice skating at the murray ice rink. Happy 24th b-day! (dec. 31st)

Christmas Vacation!!

We had such a wonderful Christmas. We got to go to Idaho for about two weeks. We got to see some friends that we haven't for a very long time. Hope everyone had as fun a Christmas as we did. Jade in her adorable Santa outfit from Grandma Mary!

So the thursday before Thanksgiving we had a bunch of our friends and family over to have a practice thanksgiving dinner. It was so delicious!
When we went to Minnesota for thankgiving Dan and I went to go see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat at a local dinner theater. It was a really good performance, and the dinner was delicous also. Anyway, we had to leave Jade behind so here is a picture with her and her first babysitters. Ok, so it's a little late but Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Dan and Jade and I got to go to St. Paul, Minnesota to visit his aunt and uncle for Thanksgiving. We had such a fun time. Jade had her first babysitter while dan and I went to see Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat at a local dinner theater. Jade did so well on the flight there and back. We also had baby Jade blessed today, it was such a great day! We had family over afterward and had some delicious grub.

Baby Jade has been growing so fast, last week she was 8 lbs or so, and today we weighed her and it looked like she was 10 lbs!!! how did she do that?? She's still pretty laid back, and you have to antagonize her a lot to get a response, but sometimes you can catch her staring and smiling at you when you're turned away. She's starting to make her needs known a little more now, and isn't afraid to squeel at you if you take her bottle away too early.

I just finished my travel contract with IHC, and have signed on with a local agency for PRN (pro re nata (Latin: for the thing born (As needed))) and am looking forward to dictating my own schedule. I got an awesome rate that will result in me making a little more per month than with my travel contract if I keep busy.

Other than cutie pie jade and getting a nice week off (make up for almost having to work through jade's delivery) things are pretty tame!
